Blog about developing complex project from scratch to release, on Laravel and Vue(nuxt)

On this blog(channel), you can watch the development process of a large portal dedicated to the music industry, from scratch to, I hope, release. Frontend, backend, CI/CD, makeup, designs, etc., with my personal subjective thoughts at each stage of development and some subjective advice for product owners, project managers, etc.

Content aimed for experienced backend, frontend, or full-stack developers who want to see development process from scratch and maybe find something useful for themselves. This is not a beginner's guide; I will not explain every line of code and make one more guide with "to-do list" or "shopping cart".

Please remember, a YouTube channel (and blog) is a by-product of project development. Not vice versa.

So, who am I? I'm a web developer who has been working as a full-stack developer in PHP and JavaScript for over 10 years (since 2014), All these years, I've worked in various positions in Ukrainian outsourcing companies.

During this time, I had more than 30 projects of varying complexity: product development from scratch, MVP, support, feature development, updates, redesigns, etc. As you can guess, I have practical experience in many technologies starting from self-made frameworks on PHP5 and frontend on jQuery, finishing with CakePHP, Kohana PHP, Yii2, Symfony, Ember, React, Knockout, Aurelia, and much more that I don't even remember.

But now my core stack is Laravel and Vue within Nuxt.js. These two technologies will take up most of the time and will be the core stack of future projects.

Project idea

Much of my life has been devoted to music. Not as a musician or manager, but as a consumer. Small music events in pubs, big festivals, huge concerts of world stars, rock, hip-hop, electronic music, symphony orchestras. I tried to go everywhere I could and where finances allowed. Only in Ukraine, in the future I dream of visiting a lot of festivals in Europe and America

It can be argued that I am a professional consumer of musical events.

And I didn't use alcohol. Or drugs,because no one never offered to me 😊. So in addition except incredible satisfaction after each event, I also noticed systemic problems with marketing, audience assessment, feedback, media coverage, and most importantly, work with community. I understand that in your country, city, or community these problems may not be so pronounced or may be completely different. Of course, I conducted a market analysis and consider my ideas quite promising. I also had the opportunity to talk to industry representatives: managers and musicians and got some feedback from them. I will try to help many people involved in music using my skills There will be a separate video or several about marketing analysis.

I will not talk about the functionality of the platform now; It's complex and may change during development. In future videos, I'll try to explain what problem I'm solving, where it comes from, what there are, and share life stories from the side of the consumer of musical culture.

Understand that front-end developers are not interested in the back problem, back-end developers are not interested in the front, and no one is interested in such conversational videos, so pay attention to the video frame, visually, the style will be different for the frontend, backend, and "blah-blah", where I either analyze competitors or answer questions etc.

Terrorizes me, my country, my loved ones every day, every minute.

Air raids have become the norm of life, explosions have become the norm.

I see houses destroyed by rockets every day.

All the stories of the russians about peace, about that they are protecting someone or something - complete nonsense, they kill, rape and steal.

They caused the largest environmental disaster by blowing up the Kakhovka Dam. I can go on for a long time, the number of russian war crimes is increasing every day.
